2007 Dove hunting season was very successful

We have now started the Upland Game Bird season (Quail, Chucker). We have done several guided and unguided hunts, and have now started our first fall (preserve) hunting season from October 1st, 2007 through March 31, 2008.

•GUIDED HUNTS - We now offer several guided hunts with special packages, by licensed guides. Inquire for details with Anderson Creek or see Mule City Guide services.

•QUAIL RESTORATION - Since spring of 2007 we have been experimenting with Quail restoration type processes, which means we have released 400-500 quail in the open wild, and have been successful at getting 5 or 6 covies to establish themselves. If you come across one of these covies, we ask our hunters to only take one to two birds so they can maintain their numbers. This is Quail hunting 'southern style'. We have also located a supplier to raise Quail in an outside flight pen, which increases the strenght and mobility of the birds compared to those raised indoors.

•We anticipate being able to schedule tower hunts by Christmas of 2007.

Thanks to those that have hunted with us and we hope many more will join us for hunting in the future here at Anderson Creek Hunting Preserve.

Please feel free to contact Anderson Creek Hunting Preserve if you have questions or want more information about our services.
